FEEL-good musical Hairspray will burst on to The Mayflower’s stage next week.
And two lucky readers can win a pair of tickets each to the Southampton show on Wednesday, 10 April at 7.30pm.
Hairspray tells the story of Tracy Turnblad, a big girl with big hair and an even bigger heart, as she sets out to follow her extraordinary dreams, inspire her mum and win the boy she loves.
Stage and screen star Mark Benton, of Waterloo Road and Early Doors, will play the larger than life Turnblad family matriarch Edna in the show and will be joined by EastEnders star Lucy Benjamin, who will play the role of scheming television executive and archetypal ‘showbiz mom’ Velma Von Tussle.
X Factor finalist Marcus Collins is Seaweed Stubbs and newcomer Freya Sutton is the teenage heroine Tracy Turnblad.
Hairspray will be at The Mayflower from Tuesday, 9 April until Saturday, 20 April.
Performances will be at 7.30pm, from Tuesday until Saturday, along with shows at 2pm on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
