I WENT into the Wetherspoon pub in Oxford to have a pint of lager, which up to the week before, was £2.09 a pint.
I said to the barman, is it now a penny less after the budget?
He replied: “It’s now £2.29.”
So I asked why and he said it went up just before the budget and also the meals, tea and coffee have also increased.
We have had number of price increases in the last year.
I would like to ask the boss, Tim Martin, to explain why the increase within a week of the budget.
