EVERTON striker Victor Anichebe played the Easter Bunny for children at Whiston Hospital armed with a mountain of chocolate eggs.
The powerhouse Nigerian international took time out of training to visit the children’s ward, chatting to families and posing for photographs with staff.
Victor, who was joined by staff from Everton in the Community, also played games at the children’s bedside.
The 24-year-old said: “It’s been great seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces.
“Visits like this can go a long way, and really lift the spirits of the children, so I am happy to be here. “It’s a great feeling to see how happy they are.”
Sally Duce, lead nurse at Whiston Hospital, said: “We are delighted and grateful that Victor took the time out to visit the children and the staff on the children’s unit. “They were all thrilled to meet him. Victor really brightened up their day and made Easter extra special for them.”
