Test Valley’s Cabinet will debate the long-term future of the borough’s former Romsey-based southern area offices on Wednesday.
Staff that were located at the premises, moved to a new drop-in customer services facility at the old Romsey Magistrates Court building earlier this year.
Councillors have several options on the table which include approving the sale of the Duttons Road site.
Offers have been made to buy the site from the borough council.
Borough leader Ian Carr said: “Council agreed a seven point plan last year to make better use of our assets. We have already delivered on five of these. The next step will be to agree the best use of the Duttons Road site, bearing in mind our commitment to make the most efficient and economic use of our assets.”
He added: “It is less than one year since the plan was approved. In that time we have opened our customer service facility at the former magistrates’ court and refurbished the Crosfield Hall for community use, which has also become home to council meetings in the south of the borough.
“In addition, we are already making substantial savings through the rationalisation of our office accommodation.”
