Man charged with GBH after Farnworth attack
A MAN has been charged with carrying out a violent assault in Farnworth.
Mohammed Tabib Shafiq, aged 21, of Cawdor Street, Farnworth, has been charged with two counts of causing grievous bodily harm.
He is due to appear at Bolton Magistrates’ court tomorrow morning.
A woman, aged 20, who was arrested on suspicion of helping an offender has been bailed pending further enquiries.
The charges relate to an incident in the early hours of Sunday morning in Cawdor Street in which a 52-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman were attacked in the street.
Both are still in hospital and the man is in a critical condition.
