Drivers are frequently parking on the double yellow lines around the bends on Weaver Street and Ways Green.

Both of these areas are marked with double yellow lines very clearly. A no tolerance approach is being taken to these areas.

It is extremely dangerous as approaching drivers can’t see other vehicles coming. Parking on these lines could leave you with a £30 fine or your vehicle being removed for being in a dangerous location.

This week four of your local PCSO’s have been trained by Cheshire West and Chester council Road Safety team to run Let’s Bike within our schools.

We will all be running this scheme for our local schools in the coming years and helping the local children to safely ride their bikes on the road.

Local parents will hear about when these courses will take place through their schools. If you would like to ensure your child’s bike is road worthy before the course please get in touch with your local PCSO and we will come out and see you.

PCSO Steve Bishop and PCSO Kevin McShane have gave a safety talk to Wharton’s two to four year-olds at Willow Wood nursery school.

The topics included staying safe on the streets and on the roads, teaching them about the Police and how we help people, what to do if they get lost and the children were able to sit and play in a real Police car.

This is some fantastic community work and really helps the children trust the Police in case they ever need us.
