THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND ONE-WAY TRAFFIC)
(VARIOUS ROAD (6) BISHOPS GREEN) ORDER 2013


Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following Order:

Reason for Order:
The Council are satisfied that traffic on the road should be restricted or prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road.

Effect of Order
:
All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along various roads, Basingstoke as detailed below:-

1.
Ecchinswell Road, Bishops Green (road closure) Length of road to be affected is 850m between the junction with A339 and the junction with Ash Road, as directed by traffic signs. Diversion route- Proceed via A339 Newbury Road to Newbury Road to Fox's Lane to Sydmonton Road and then Hydes Piatt and by this route reversed.

2. Hyde Lane, Bishops Green (one-way traffic, Northeast bound) Length of road to be affected is 950m between its junction with Ecchinswell Road and the access to the farm shop (Darling Buds of May Nursery). Diversion route - As directed by traffic signs.

3. Featherbed Lane and Adbury Road, Bishops Green, (one-way traffic, Southeast bound) from Featherbed Lane between the junction with Ecchinswell Road and Adbury Road and from Adbury Road between the junction with Featherbed Lane and Burghclere Road. Diversion route - As directed by traffic signs.

The closure and one-way traffic is to allow for installation of a new drainage network and resurfacing in Ecchinswell Road.

Duration of Order:
The order will come into effect on 20th June for 12 months. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected the closure and one-way traffic will commence from 1st July 2013 for approximately 10 weeks).
