Animal rescuer Kim Goodridge is appealing for help to find a new home for a hedgehog family saved from a building site.
The prickly critters were rescued from a construction site near Bromham, and were taken to Neston Hedgehog Rescue Centre, where Ms Goodridge rehabilitates and re-homes injured animals.
She said: “They came into us from Bromham, where they were found near Angel House, and I would have liked them to go back to the same area.
“The mother is very well-fed, and the babies are now big enough to be released back into the wild.”
The hedgehogs need a safe, warm home where they can spend the summer, before they prepare to hibernate through the winter.
Ms Goodridge said: “You can leave food out for hedgehogs in the garden at night.
“Dried mealworms are good, or some cat or dog food.
“Cat food is really good for them, but it’s best with chicken with jelly, not gravy.”
To help re-home the hedgehogs, call the centre on (01225) 810470.
