Woman, 47, died suddenly of natural causes
7:45am Saturday 17th August 2013 in News
A WOMAN with learning difficulties died suddenly at her home, an inquest heard.
Susannah Moss, 47, was found lying on the bedroom floor of her home at Rownhams Lane, Rownhams, on June 1.
The inquest in Winchester was told that she had a history of learning difficulties and Dr Hayley Burnley, consultant pathologist at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, concluded that this, combined with sudden cardiac death, was the explanation for her death. She said: “People with learning difficulties have a shorter life expectancy than the general population, so it wouldn’t have been suitable to call it sudden adult death syndrome when she does have this abnormality.”
Assistant deputy central Hampshire coroner, Sarah Whitby, recorded a verdict of death by natural causes.
