A DEVELOPER has ploughed £1,000 into a Hampshirebased art project.
Churchill Retirement Living has handed the cash to bosses of the Rum’s Eg Art and Craft Gallery project in Romsey which won the business in the community section of the 2013 Test Valley Business Awards.
The money will go towards providing education facilities at Rum’s Eg.
Director of Hampshire Art and Craft Cic, Siriol Sherlock who runs the Rum's Eg project, said: “This cheque for £1,000 will help enormously with our education and community work. It will be used for capital funding to help with the building work still needed to enable a full programme of activities for all ages and abilities”.
Director of Churchill Retirement Living Andrew Burgess said Rum’s Eg is a deserving project to give the money to.
“We are delighted to be able support them and recognise the significant impact they have had on the art scene and in their work with the local community.”
