PSYCHIATRIC reports have been ordered on an Eastleigh man who the prosecution allege launched “random and violent attacks” on two strangers.

In one incident, Scott Foster headbutted one man at a bus stop and in the second punched another following an altercation in a fast food shop.

Foster, 25, of Scott Road, Eastleigh, admitted causing actual bodily harm and wounding.

Judge Gary Burrell QC heard Foster was receiving treatment for long-standing problems.

Prosecutor Charles Gabb described the incidents as utterly unprovoked and said that Foster had picked on older people misperceiving something was wrong.

Foster had bail extended to September 30, when he will be sentenced at Southampton Crown Court.
