Bride gets trollied in prank before big day
2:04pm Saturday 24th August 2013 in News
GETTING trollied is normally a stunt pulled by wedding guests who have had a few too many drinks at the reception.
But a young bride was in for a spin when colleagues launched a pre-wedding prank just days before her big date.
Pharmacy technician Nicola Haws marries her fiancé Shaun Hayball today at Marwell Hotel.
But fellow workers from Boots in Romsey could not resist getting the party started early when they forced a pink tiara, veil and L-plates over her head and wheeled her through the town centre in one of their shopping trollies.
Nicola, 26, who lives in Dibben Walk, Romsey, also had to hold a bucket reading ‘Penny for the Bride’ to collect for the company’s chosen charity Macmillan Cancer.
Nicola said: “It’s a bit embarrassing and we have almost run a few people over, but everyone’s been laughing and people have been good donating for charity.”
