£12K jewellery hotel theft

MORE than £12,000 of jewellery was stolen when thieves ransacked three guest bedrooms in a hotel.
Heavy gold and diamond bracelets, a large stoned ruby and diamond ring, a Chopard gold floating diamond necklace and a topaz necklace were among the items stolen during the break in at the Ocean Hotel in Sandown, Isle of Wight.
Several pairs of diamond earrings, two mobile phones and a digital, hand-held motion camera were also taken when the thieves struck last Friday August 23.
The suspect is described as white, aged between 40-50 years, slim build, skinny face with black hair which is longer on top and greying around the sides. He was wearing a short-sleeved, light-coloured shirt and blue jeans.
