Southampton applicants wanted for Fairness Commission
2:30pm Thursday 29th August 2013 in News
Puplic-minded people are being sought to find out ways to make Southampton a fairer place to work.
The city council agreed to set up a Fairness Commission earlier this year, with one of its key goals the introduction of a living wage across the city.
The council is already committed to introducing a living wage, and it is hoped that the commission will also bring more fairness and equality to Southampton.
Ten commissioners are being sought from across the public, private and voluntary sectors to man the commission.
They will take part in six public meetings and will make recommendations about issues such as education, pay and employment.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the commission, visit southampton.gov.uk/living/ comliving/fairness commission.aspx to fill in an expression of interest form and email it to email@example.com by September 27.
