Crash causes motorway delays
MOTORISTS are facing major delays after a crash on a Hampshire motorway this afternoon.
A Mini collided with the central reservation of the M27, just after junction 5, at Eastleigh, on the eastbound carriageway of the motorway.
Initially lanes two and three between junction 5 and junction 7, at Hedge End, were closed after the incident, which happened at 2.55pm.
Lane two was later reopened at 3.45pm, with the road fully reopening at 4pm.
The driver only sustained a minor injury but 20m of the central reservation barrier has been damaged.
The crash has caused long tailbacks and police are warning motorists to expect delays.
It comes just hours before England take on Australia at the Ageas Bowl tonight so those heading to the match are being warned to give themselves extra time to get there.
