Damon Wright will next appear at Winchester Crown Court for his plea and case management hearing on October 18.
Wright has been told that he will remain in custody.
Judge Boney QC explained the timetable of event to Wright, who sat facing the camera, and confirmed that he understood what has been agreed.

The expected trial date has been set for February 24 and it is expected to last between two to three weeks.
Mr Cotter has addressed the judge, informing him that the crown will serve papers by October 11.

Court 6 has now been unlocked and both barristers are inside awaiting the start of proceedings.
Damon Wright made a brief three minute appearance at Southampton Magistrates Court earlier this week, where he spoke only to confirm his name, age and address.
He gave his address as 'of no fixed abode'.
The body of Kevin Wyeth was discovered in an alley way on Defender Road in the Woolston area of Southampton, in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The preliminary hearing is expected to start at 2.15pm.
The judge for today's hearing is Guy Boney QC. Prosecuting the case today is Nicholas Cotter.
