Meeting to decide on housing plan
3:23pm Friday 30th August 2013 in News
A MEETING to decide whether a three-bedroomed house can be built in Wherwell is to take place on 3 September.
Test Valley Borough Council’s northern area planning committee has recommended that permission be granted to build the property in Church Street, but the case officer opposed the bid.
The application will now be decided on by the planning control committee at Crossfield Hall in Romsey in early September.
Case officer Mrs Samantha Owen stated that the proposed dwelling is in an area of countryside which has no overriding need for housing.
But the northern area planning committee believe permission should be granted if work including the grounding of power lines, the replacement wall along Church Street and improvements to the church car park are delivered.
