Vandals on the rampage
7:00am Saturday 31st August 2013 in News
EIGHTEEN cars were damaged when vandals went on the rampage through a Southampton neighbourhood.
A man was seen to pick up items from a path and throw them at vehicles parked in Bishops Road and Radstock Road in Bitterne.
He was also seen arguing with a woman with a pushchair at about 12.30am on Sunday, August 25 as they walked along Bishops Road.
In total 18 cars were damaged, and the majority had their wing mirrors broken.
The man has been described as white, between 25 and 30 years old, and was wearing a dark t-shirt and jeans.
The woman had black hair which she was wearing in a pony tail.
It is believed they were heading to a nearby train station.
The police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
PC Helen Iliff said: “This couple could be heard and seen.
“There are not many people walking with pushchairs around after midnight.
“We need to hear from anyone who saw them in the area of Bishops Road and Radstock Road or the train station.”
If you have any information, contact PC Iliff at Bitterne police station on 101.
