A SOUTHAMPTON man has avoided a prison sentence for attacking a woman.
Aaron Burden, 23, was sentenced to four months in jail suspended for 18 months after he admitted attacking Gladys Burden in Tadley on April 27.
Burden, of Milton Road, Fitzhugh, was also ordered to take part in a 26-day resolve programme and told by Basingstoke magistrates to pay £80 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
Magistrates also imposed a restraining order banning him from entering Woodlands Road, Baughurst near Reading until further notice.
