Sleeping Beauty charms Naomi House audience
A PANTOMIME company entertained children and staff at a hospice with a performance of Sleeping Beauty.
The cast of Starlight Summer Panto visited Naomi House Children’s Hospice, in Sutton Scotney, as part of its eight-week national tour of hospitals and hospices.
Performed by four actors, the group livened up everybody’s afternoon and put smiles on all of the children’s faces.
Naomi House provides care and support for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses in central southern England, and for many, their stays at the hospice provide them with the chance to take a break from the demands of their illness.
As Sleeping Beauty and her prince tore across the stage pursued by a couple of clowns, the children were distracted from their illness for a few hours while they enjoyed the show.
Katy Robinson, a representative from Naomi House, said: “Starlight is a fantastic charity, and each year we look forward to the arrival of the Starlight Summer Panto and the fun and laughter that it brings our young patients.”
