Four-car smash causes M27 gridlock
8:42am Thursday 5th September 2013 in News
MOTORISTS can expect severe delays after a four car pile-up on a busy Hampshire motorway.
The vehicles were in collision between junctions 11 and 12 of the M27 westbound carriageway in Portsmouth shortly after 7.30am.
They include a Vauxhall Astra, Vauxhall Insignia, Peugeot 206 and a Kia LE.
No-one was injured and all lanes remain open, but queues are stretching back three miles on the motorway while the vehicles are recovered.
There is also congestion on the eastbound carriageway as motorists slow down to look at the accident and on surrounding roads as motorists seek diversions.
