Driver killed in crash involving lorry and 4x4 at Bullington Cross near Winchester
ONE person has been killed after a collision involving a HGV and a 4x4 at a major Hampshire junction.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were all called to the A303 at Bullington Cross shortly before 9am today.
The driver of the 4x4 died at the scene. The HGV driver is described by police as uninjured but “very shocked.”
The slip road from the A303 westbound has been closed, as well as the A34 southbound towards the A303.
The exit slip road of A34 northbound lane was also closed this morning as a result of late finishing overnight road works on the road near Kings Worthy.
The work was supposed to finish at 5am, but one lane is still closed on the link to the A33. It is expected to stay closed for most of today.
