Three stages for the SO:FEST
FUNK, soul, reggae and future dub sounds are set to grace a second stage at SO:FEST later this month.
A stellar line-up of local DJs will appear on the Cellar stage, hosted by the Steptone Sound System.
Mark and Neil from SOUL 45 will be bringing the funk in a strictly 7” vinyl set, and the Steptone Family will be serving up the reggae.
The stage opens at midday, but the DJ party carries on inside The Cellar at 9pm, and local ska band The Spunge will headline the band stage.
SO:FEST celebrates the sounds of the city and takes over Guildhall Square and surrounding streets on September 21 with three stages.
As well as live music on the main stage in the Square, headlined by Ben Goddard, the Frog and Parrot Chatterbox Stage will feature a variety of spoken word and acoustic music.
There will also be some children’s activities and an arts market.
The festival spirit is set to continue with local bars and venues hosting indoor events after the main event ends.
