Police in fresh appeal after man killed in crash near Winchester
3:11pm Friday 6th September 2013 in News
POLICE have appealed for a witness to come forward after a 40-year-old man was killed in a crash near Winchester yesterday morning.
The dead man, who has not been named, was from North Hampshire and had been driving a silver Dodge 4x4 when it collided with a lorry on the interchange between the A303 and the A30 at Bullington Cross.
Officers believe the collision, just before 9am, happened as the 4x4 turned right onto the A30.
The driver of the lorry, a 42-year-old man from the West Midlands, was uninjured.
Police today launched a fresh appeal for the driver of a vehicle which was immediately behind the Dodge to come forward.
Sergeant Darren Brown said: “We believe that the driver of this car could have seen the crash happen and may therefore be a really important witness to help us establish the facts. We would urge that driver to please call us as soon as possible as the information they provide could prove vital to us.”
Anyone with information should call 101 and ask for PC Lee Taylor at Whitchurch Roads Policing Unit
