A SOUTHAMPTON heart expert has launched the UK’s biggest donation appeal to boost life-saving research into heart disease.
Dr Rebecca Stead, a BHF fundraiser from the University of Southampton, kicked off the month-long bagathon to help supply stock for the city’s British Heart Foundation shops.
She is urging people from Southampton to fill a bag full of unwanted clothes, toys and books to help each shop reach it’s 2,000 bag target before the end of the month.
Dr Stead said: “Your unwanted things will help the BHF continue its research into finding a cure for heart disease.
“That’s why I’m so honoured to have launched this campaign and I hope that people come down to support their local shop.
“Every bag that you fill is a bag full of life-saving research.”
For a bag pop in to your local shop.
