Third drink driving conviction for motorist

AN ALRESFORD man has received a suspended jail sentence for his third drinkdriving conviction.
Roger Taylor, 53, was three times the legal limit when he was stopped on Romsey Road, King’s Somborne, on August 31, magistrates heard.
Taylor, of Parkstone Road, Ropley, admitted driving with excess alcohol while in his 02-reg Land Rover, and driving while disqualified and with no insurance.
His alcohol reading was 105 micrograms in 100 millilitres of breath when the limit is 35mcg.
Basingstoke magistrates jailed him for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months.
Taylor was also banned from driving for 52 months, ordered to do 180 hours unpaid work, pay a victim surcharge of £80 and costs of £45
