Unprovoked attack caused serious injury

A MAN suffered serious head injuries in an unprovoked attack in Southampton.
The victim was punched to the body and face by another man and hit his head on a kerb as he fell to the ground.
The victim, 46, was walking home from a friend’s when he passed a man and a woman who had been arguing.
A taxi driver, an off-duty nurse and two men helped the victim, who was taken to Southampton General Hospital by ambulance for treatment to a deep cut to his head.
The suspect is described as white, aged 25 to 30, of slim build and about 5ft 8in.
He was wearing a black and white striped pullover with horizontal stripes.
