RONNIE the rhino and Angus the Scottish terrier were caught on camera enjoying a walkies around the home of Hampshire cricket, the Ageas Bowl.
The five-year-old pooch from West End is the first four-legged friend to enter the Daily Echo’s Go! Rhinos photo competition, as he leads the cricket-inspired sculpture on their morning walk.
Although most of the rhinos can be found in streets and parks throughout Southampton city centre, there are a few who have grazed further afield, including Ronnie, who is sponsored by the cricket venue where he can be found, until September 22, when the trail ends.
This photograph taken by his owner, Nikki Penny, is the latest entries into the Daily Echo’s Go! Rhinos photo competition, looking for the most imaginative ways to have your picture taken with one of the rhinos, without touching it.
The winning photo will win a Junior Experience worth £150, which gives one lucky youngster an unforgettable opportunity to be a zookeeper for the day.
The best of the rest will appear in a special souvenir supplement of photographs at the end of the trail.
Just email your photographs to firstname.lastname@example.org, with your name, address, contact telephone number and the names and ages of those in the picture, plus where they are from.
