A HAMPSHIRE teenager has died suddenly.

Rosie Carter, 19, died on Sunday while visiting Wales. The exact circumstances of her death are not yet known, although a report has been handed to the coroner's office in Pembrokeshire.

The former Peter Symonds College pupil had travelled to the Welsh town of Tenbyto support her aunt who was taking part in a sporting event, thought to be the Iron Man Wales extreme triathlon.

Her mum, Emma Carter-Desai wrote on Facebook: “She was gorgeous in every way. So loving to me and all her siblings. Life will never ever be the same.”

On Twitter, her boyfriend, Ryan Jones, believed to also be a student at Nottingham Trent, simply wrote: “Why”.

Tributes to Rosie have poured in on social media websites as friends learned about her death.

A friend said on Facebook: “A bright beautiful spirit. I am so so sorry to hear this news.”

Another said: “I am struggling to comprehend something so devastating, I think losing Rosie has affected so many people far and wide.”

A further friend wrote: “To all the Carter-Desai's and especially Emma, for some reason him up there always takes the beautiful and good ones young. We are so, so sorry to hear of the tragic news of Rosies death. The whole community is reeling with shock, sadness and disbelief. Lots of love, thinking of you.”

Rosie, who lived in St Mary Bourne, near Andover, and once worked as a waitress at the George Inn, attended Rookwood School in the town before moving onto Peter Symonds in Winchester and then Nottingham Trent University.
