DRUGS with a street value of £17,000 were recovered at this year’s Bestival, police have revealed.
Officers policing the annual music festival at Robin Hill Country Park last weekend recovered the haul as well as searching 295 people.
A total of 13 people were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply while a 16-year-old boy from Manchester was quizzed on suspicion of theft from a tent and possession with intent to supply crack cocaine.
Police had reports of 45 thefts from people and 144 thefts from tents.
There were two reports of assault and one allegation of a woman being indecently touched.
Hampshire police chiefs released the data as they thanked residents and revellers for helping out.
