A HAMPSHIRE man who was a known alcoholic died from natural causes, an inquest heard.
Warren Haskell was found dead at his Southampton home after a neighbour was worried that he had not seen him for four or five days.
Southampton Coroner’s Court heard that the 46-yearold was found on the floor of him home in Golden Grove, surrounded by a “vast amount of alcoholic containers”.
A post-mortem revealed that his death, on June 14, was as a result of alcoholic ketoacidosis, a condition caused when someone stops drinking after a prolonged period of excess alcohol intake. Deputy coroner Gordon Denson ruled that Mr Haskell died as a result of dependant alcohol abuse.
