Speed limit falls to 30mph in Upton Crescent, Nursling
11:19am Wednesday 18th September 2013 in News
A NEW 30mph speed limit will be introduced on a Hampshire street later this month.
The current maximum speed limit at Upton Crescent is 60mph but, on September 27, it will drop to 30mph. The new limit, which has the full support of Nursling and Rownhams Parish Council, was welcomed by Hampshire County Council leader Cllr Roy Perry, who represents the village.
He said: “Fortunately, most residents drive at a sensible speed but sadly not all. I will be discussing with the parish council whether community speed enforcement equipment could be used to help ensure the new speed limit is respected.”
