Six mile tailbacks after traffic light failure
TRAFFIC light failure in Southampton has created long delays for motorists across Hampshire this morning.
The traffic lights on the A35 Stoneham Way southbound at the A335 Thomas Lewis Way has resulted in tailbacks between junctions 8 and 5 on the M27 westbound.
Drivers during the rush hour period have been caught up queues almost six miles long throughout the morning.
Southampton City Council's highways department has confirmed the lights are not working and has advised motorists to approach the area with caution.
