Police hunt robbers after iPhone stolen in attack in Winchester

A TEENAGE student was robbed at gunpoint by two hooded men in Hampshire.
Two men brandishing what the victim thought was a firearm stopped and threatened the 19-year-old on a secluded footpath.
He handed over his iPhone and a quantity of cash. No violence was used and the aggrieved was uninjured.
The robbery happened on the path from Cromwell Road to St James' Lane at around 9pm on Saturday.
The offenders ran off towards St James' Lane.
They are described as:
- a white man
- approximately 6ft tall
- early 20s
- skinny build
- wearing a black hooded top with the hood up and black tracksuit bottoms with a thin red stripe down the sides
- With dark scarf covering his lower face;
The second man is:
- Aproximately 5ft 11ins tall
- early 20s
- slim build
- wearing a black hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms
- A black scarf across his lower face.
The police have appealed for witnesses.
Det Sgt Matt Gillooly, from Winchester CID, said: “The victim was on his way to his friends' house nearby when this happened and is clearly shaken up by the incident.
"He's reported that the offenders used what he describes as a small black firearm. In that respect, this is a very unusual and isolated incident and we have had no reports of anything similar.
“We're focusing our patrols in the area and I'd like to take the opportunity to remind people in general to always stick to well-lit areas and night and keep all your valuables out of sight.”
