A HAMPSHIRE village festival kicked off in style.
The 2013 Worthys Festival began with a church fete on Saturday in Kings Worthy, near Winchester.
Hundreds of people turned out at St Mary’s Church green despite grey skies to enjoy a variety of stalls and entertainment, including performances by the Hook Eagle Morris Men and modern dance by Dance Up.
Events continue throughout the week including a village quiz, history exhibitions, coffee mornings and a finale on Sunday, featuring a dog show, football tournament and fireworks.
It is the second time the biannual event has taken place and focuses on the villages of Kings Worthy, Headbourne Worthy and Abbots Worthy.
