Janine to take leap of faith in aid of children's cancer unit
2:00pm Tuesday 24th September 2013 in News
A WELLOW woman is to do a skydive to raise cash for a Southampton-based children’s cancer unit.
Janine Bowman will be jumping 15,000ft from a plane over Salisbury Plain next month in aid of the Piam Brown ward at Southampton General Hospital.
It is her continuing way of saying thank you to the medics who saved her life in 1995 when she had childhood leukaemia.
Janine, who has already raised £1,000 for the ward, is asking people to sponsor her jump on October 11.
“All money I raise will go directly to the Piam Brown ward and I am very grateful for the care I received during my time there,” said Janine.
Anyone who would like to sponsor Janine should go to justgiving.com/janine-bowman or call in at Latimer News in Romsey where sponsorship forms are on display.
