SHIVERS me timbers! Young members of a Hampshire business group are inviting people to take to the high seas for a pirate-themed extravaganza.
Members of The Southampton Junior Chamber International – which supports young professionals – are holding a ball on Saturday, including a dinner dance cruise on The Solent, drinks at Southampton’s Banana Wharf and VIP entrance to Oceana night club.
Chamber president Michael Steel said: “Just like previous years it is an event not to be missed, however this year we are deciding to do something a bit different.
“True to our maritime heritage we are holding our annual celebration on the water.
“That’s right land lovers, we are going all pirate on you. So dig out your treasure maps, don your tattered eye patch, pack your trusted parrot and practise your best scurvy pirate talk.”
It’s all to raise money for extra beds at the cystic fibrosis ward at Southampton General Hospital.
For tickets, costing £45 each, call the chamber’s deputy president Ryan Slaughter on 07728 337211.
