OAP critical after BMW accident

A PEDESTRIAN is in a critical condition in hospital after a collision with a car on a Hampshire road.
The 76-year-old was crossing a junction along Privett Road when she collided with a BMW that was travelling towards Gosport.
She was taken by air ambulance to Southampton General Hospital with what was described as a life threatening head injury.
She remains there in a critical but stable condition following the incident, which happened at around 6.30pm yesterday.
The BMW driver, a 25-year-old local woman was shaken but otherwise uninjured.
She was arrested on suspicion of careless driving and bailed pending further enquiries.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either the vehicle or the pedestrian prior to it.
