Eastleigh Borough Council chief executive Bernie Topham leaving for university role
A TOP Hampshire civic chief is quitting her post – and taking up a new role at a university.
Bernie Topham is leaving her job as chief executive of Eastleigh Borough Council after seven years in the post.
She will begin her new role at the University of Portsmouth at the end of the year.
Council leader Keith House said: “[Bernie] has been an excellent chief executive for the council, leading the team which has resulted in many significant achievements including the regeneration of the town centre, the development of the Ageas Bowl and our continuing work to tackle climate change.”
