A MAN from Southampton died after falling out of bed.
An inquest heard how Terence Gosney had fallen out of bed at his home in Buttermere Close, Maybush, on July 12.
Although this was a regular occurrence, on this occasion he did not respond when his wife woke up and she called an ambulance.
However, the crew was unable to wake him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
At the inquest at Southampton Coroner’s Court, coroner Keith Wiseman heard that 48-year-old Mr Gosney had a history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Pathologist Dr Sanjay Jogai listed the main contributing factor towards his death as cardiac arrhythmia, and Mr Wiseman recorded the cause as death through natural causes.
