Heavy rain warning from Met Office for Hampshire

HEAVY rainfall could lead to flooding in Hampshire, the Met Office has warned.
The agency has issued a yellow warning for the region, saying there torrential downpours may occur throughout today.
The warning says that between 20 and 25mm of rain could fall within an hour, and 40mm within three hours, as downpours lash parts of Hampshire throughout Thursday.
There may also be thunder, while the agency has warned of the risk of localised flooding in some areas.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service has sent out advice to motorists on social network site Twitter, saying: "There is some severe weather expected this afternoon.
"So please drive a bit slower and make sure your lights and wipers all work, keep safe."
