A FLORAL group celebrated the many shades of autumn with a series of displays at a Bramley care home.
A total of 18 ladies from the Bramley and Romans Floral Society created 23 arrange-ments that were placed in communal areas at the Cherry Blossom Manor care home, in German Road.
They used flowers such as roses and lilies for the Michelmas Flower Festival, in arrangements that included a harvest of fruit and a boat on a floral sea.
The care home held a reception evening so that members of the group and relatives of people at the care home could get a closer look at the arrangements.
The festival was also open to members of the public.
Benet Ormerod, operations manager at the Barchester care home, said: “I thought it was a good idea to do something different to encourage the public to come into the home.
“It is part of the community and they should see it and be welcomed.”
The care home, which opened three years ago as part of the new housing development in German Road, has 77 residents, some of whom have dementia.
