Saints fans issued travel alert ahead of Swansea clash
6:00am Sunday 6th October 2013 in News
SAINTS fans have been warned of changes to high-speed ferry services from the Isle of Wight ahead of Sunday’s match against Swansea City.
The service has been reduced to one boat for the next two weeks due to damage and refits.
The firm says Red Jet 5 has been damaged but was unable to reveal the cause or the extent. Red Jet 4 is also unavailable as part of its annual refit.
A one boat shuttle service will operate between the usual start and end times each day, with boarding cards issued on a first come first served basis.
Passengers travelling between 8am and 7pm have been advised to use the East Cowes to Southampton service to avoid delays.
The firm said it “regrets the inconvenience” to customers and assured passengers it is doing it all can to charter a vessel from another operator and return Red Jet 4 to service as soon as possible.
Contact centre and ticket office opening times have been extended during this period. To keep up-to-date visit redfunnel.co.uk.
