Prefix director Ian Gould denies manslaughter at Ageas Bowl construction site

A COMPANY director today denied the manslaughter of a worker killed at the Ageas Bowl in Hedge End.
Ian Gould, 52, is alleged to have by gross negligence killed Philip Carsley, 34, who died when a concrete wall under construction fell on him in February 2010.
Prosecutors say the wall was not properly supported.
Gould, as a director of Prefix Ltd, also pleaded not guilty at Winchester Crown Court to failing to ensure persons were not exposed to risk and failing to plan, manage or monitor construction work Andrew Scott Ltd denied two charges brought under Health and Safety Act.
Judge Guy Boney QC released Gould on unconditional bail. The trial is provisionally fixed for March 31 2014 although the date has yet to be confuirmed.
