BAT to the future as time capsule is buried
10:46am Thursday 10th October 2013 in News
A LITTLE piece of 100th anniversary history was buried as part of the celebrations at British American Tobacco (BAT) this week.
The company is marking a century in Southampton with a host of celebrations and ceremonies.
These included the burying of a time capsule in the grounds of the firm on Waterhouse Way.
Items that went into the capsule included a copy of the Daily Echo, a centenary photo of the staff, an iPod shuffle containing the top 20, a centenary book and a specially produced bottle of Cava.
Today’s events include a private party for employees of the BAT company in Southampton, where the research and development arm of the company is now based.
