Burglar Shane Hollister caught by fingerprint left at scene of crime
A HAMPSHIRE woman woke to find she had been burgled during the night.
Property including a lap top computer and an iPod had been stolen.
However, Shane Hollister had left police an invaluable clue at the scene in New Milton – his fingerprint on the rear door, said prosecutor Gavin Sumpter.
None of the property has been recovered and the computer contained sentimental family photos.
Southampton Crown Court heard Hollister had refused to identify an accomplice.
Hollister, 24, of Pell Lane, Ryde, Isle of Wight, received a 12 month suspended sentence with 12 months supervision after admitting burglary.
