THE National Trust say they have been plagued by increased vandalism and thefts in parts of the New Forest.
Rangers say they have seen an increase in the removal of signs while a noticeboard for the community has recently been cut down by vandals using a chainsaw.
In all the damage has cost up to £300.
Clearing up masses of litter and fly-tipping has also become part of the routine for the rangers, says visitor experience and communities ranger Michelle Baxter.
Foxbury Common at Bramshaw has been the main target over the summer, where a wooden gate and fence were removed and tarpaulin tree houses were also stolen.
