Diabetics get call to help in healthcare plans
2:20pm Monday 21st October 2013 in News
DIABETICS in Southampton are being urged to help ensure healthcare in the future will meet their needs.
NHS Southampton City Clinical Commissioning Group is currently drawing up plans on how it will spend the city’s healthcare budget in 2014/15 and as part of that wants to focus on care for diabetics.
The CCG has set up a survey asking for the views of people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes to see what improvements can be made.
Dr Ali Robins said “I hope that lots of people living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes take a few moments to complete our survey, which will help us develop services to meet their needs in the future.
“We’re also working with Diabetes UK to make sure as many Southampton patients with diabetes as possible have the opportunity to make their view known.”
To fill out the survey visit research.net/s/Diabetessurvey 2013. The deadline for responses is November 30.
