Former Woolston Secondary School building to be transformed into four contemporary homes

AN eyesore building in the heart of a city neighbourhood is to be transformed into new homes with a modernist design.
Now it will be converted into two one-storey three-bedroom homes and two two-storey four- bedroom homes. It will have a contemporary design with a flat roof. The existing building will be transformed using a rendering and outside finish, with an extra two storeys built to the west. City planning committee chairman Sue Blatchford said: “It is an existing conversion of the existing building.
“It’s extremely low density development.”
Concerns about the development included parking problems in the street and the design being out of keeping with the Edwardian architecture of surrounding homes.
