A RETIRED merchant seaman found dead after lying in his home for days died from a heart attack, an inquest heard.
Denzil Norton, 77, was discovered in his home in Woodside Road, Southampton, where he lived alone after a neighbour called the police worried after not seeing him for ten days.
Southampton Coroner’s Court heard how Mr Norton had suffered from heart problems, although he had not reported any particular symptoms before his death to his GP and had been preparing to go on a long distance holiday.
Coroner Keith Wiseman determined a death by natural causes.
